Widening and resurfacing County Road P-46 between 340th and 320th St in Washington Township is slated for FY2020. That project is next in line in the five-year secondary roads construction program. County engineer Wade Weiss reviewed the plan with the county supervisors Monday; the supervisors then approved the plan.
The estimated cost of the Washington Township project is $1 million.
A pair of bridge projects are planned for 2021 – the bridge on 280th St over Snake Creek just north of Rippey at a cost of $500,000, and the bridge on Parkland Ave over Hardin Creek north of County Road E-53 in Grant Township at a cost of $600,000.
In 2022 Weiss anticipates patching projects at several locations around the county at a cost of $1.5 million. The plan for 2023 is to rehabilitate the bridge on County Road E-63 over Greenbrier Creek just west of Highway 4. The cost is $500,000.
The plan for 2020 through 2023 are the same projects that were on the plan a year ago. All the planned projects will be paid for through farm to market funds.
In other business, the supervisors approved the use of the east side of the courthouse square for the Greene County farmers market Tuesdays from June 4 through Sept. 24, from 4 to 6 pm.
